A picture of Liverpool

The Cunard Building was constructed between 1914 and 1918. Its design is influenced by the grand Italian Palaces but it also contains some neo-classical and Greek revival features. Somewhat dwarfed by the Liver Buildings on one side and the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board on the other it is built of a clean and well-proportioned design. The Cunard Building was designed by Willink and Thicknesse and included Arthur Davis as a consultant.
